Growth the Syrain Jewish Way

These guys are tough. Obviously, they don't evangelize at all, they don't want to save the world, and if you marry outside of the group they'll have nothing to do with you. You have to be a certified orthodox jew going back three generations.

And yet the Syrian Jews in Brooklyn are 75,000 strong and growing.

It certainly contradicts popular theories about how to grow a community.

Note the last paragraph and the mention of Middle-Eastern style clannishness being the wave of the future.
