We had a going away party for someone at work today. We had a nice cake that actually had some good icing on it. That cake tasted really good with coffee; that icing tasted good with coffee. That icing did not taste good in coffee!
The sugar dissolves and the fat rises to the top, creating a lovely little oil slick. Any coloring in the icing makes the coffee look jaundiced. Yuck. I still feel adversely affected.
