The Diplomatic Effect of Shooting Straight

Our military shot a satellite out of the sky with one missile. You don't have to be a conspiracy theorist to know other nations noticed. Any military with the capacity to do so tracked the missile's flight. How much reassessment goes on after one of these demonstrations?

It's not apparent that anyone would make a massive change in their plans because of something like this because it merely drives home a point everyone already knew. The U.S. is still the superpower. Psychologically, though, it's a powerful display, and could cause some who regard us as enemies to engage in radically different policies.

I'm not saying they shot it out of the sky for anything other than the stated reason, but I do think there are many more effects than simply the destruction of hydrazine.
