Hiding the Price

Thanks to a lot of government regulation, the mass of it probably centering around insurance and the pricing thereof, government essentially hides the price of living on the Gulf Coast. Evacuating one's home regularly is a cost, dealing with possible damage, etc... So very many costs, and yet, from a political perspective, it seems important to bring the poorer people back to New Orleans, as if that's somehow the decent thing to do.

And then three years later the people who couldn't afford it last time still can't afford it now.
