Michael Totten Goes To Georgia

Does this sound like what you know about the conflict?

The South Ossetian militia started it on August 6 when its fighters fired on Georgian peacekeepers and Georgian villages with weapons banned by the agreement hammered out between the two sides in 1994. At the same time, the Russian military sent its invasion force bearing down on Georgia from the north side of the Caucasus Mountains on the Russian side of the border through the Roki tunnel and into Georgia.

I didn't think so- it's generally held to have been started on the 7th by the Georgians, though we all figured the Russians were just waiting for an excuse. Turns out, they didn't wait for an excuse at all- they are just good at propaganda.

Totten has once again beaten the mainstream media to the truth. I highly recommend you read it and pass the word.
