From Whispers In The Loggia, (and many more) we learn we should not be pronouncing the Tetragrammaton:
Bottom line: the Tetragrammaton -- the Hebrew notation for the name of God -- is now forbidden to be "used or pronounced" in worship.
I always wondered why we'd be okay with saying it given our Judaic roots, but apparently it's one of those post-1960 things. Insert unkind statement about hippies here.
We shall now be slightly more coherent, thank God.
This is reminding me of Harry Potter. In the Potter books, you can tell whom people think have power, for they fear speaking his name. As is too often the case in popular media, the one with power is evil. Why do they always get it backwards? They should have given the respect to the Almighty and called Voldemort by his first name.
