It's keeps getting sillier and sillier, but today's new of the government possibly buying off the bad mortgage debt and the S.E.C. banning short selling, well, this is getting to the point where I think perhaps the problem isn't merely a fundamental misunderstanding of the economy, but a willful commitment to the lie.

Still, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised- most of these politicians have happily jumped on board with Gaia and the global-warming cult, why should I be so surprised to see them in the financial markets, waving mirrors and swinging censers, to hide the frailty of Mammon?
