If you don't like abortion, and you are going to haul yourself to the polls just to vote for McCain, forget it. We are seriously WAY better off if the polling data afterwards tells the Republicans we stayed home. I can't imagine how these people could be more similar.
Incidentally, I wonder how the anti-war crowd took Obama's Moral Obligation for War. Apparently, he'll end the Iraq war and start up other wars wherever we have a moral obligation, rather than even bothering to pretend we have anything at stake. It struck me as a touchy feely version of lebensraum, sure to keep us fighting wars in perpetuity.
And has McCain read any memos on this bailout being something most people are against? Why does he have to go and offer to make it worse?
This is tragic. I think I heard the phrase- 'I agree with Senator McCain', several times, and I don't think I watched much more than ten minutes of it!
We've been voting for the lesser of two evils for too long in this country, and as a result we keep getting less, and we keep getting evil. Surely any President so minded could have ended the Supreme Court diktat by now? John Marshall claimed power for himself; it's not unconstitutional for the executive branch to come out and say no, you don't have that power, and what your are doing now is outside of your jurisdiction- now start behaving yourself!
Sure, it's a little audacious. It might be a bit dangerous. But it sure beats letting another million babies die. Why are only the folks involved in the killing and the taking away of our liberties the ones allowed audacity?
