Religion And Time

One of those things I return to again every so often, but that linear attitude toward time can really put a kink in one's religion. Would you ponder the meaning of everpresent, and consider for that to be an attribute of God, every moment must be present to Him? That in a meaningful way the Resurrection is now, and asking a centuries old saint to pray for you makes sense in the light of scripture telling you to go to your elders and is the same as asking a fellow Christian who is living, because the saint is living.

Not that I do that much, because I've had different experiences and am more likely to ask a friend, to pray for me and pray to God myself, but I can see how it works.
And I can see there's something missing in this linear approach. That we, in our arrogance, tend to unthinkingly assume God has the same relationship with time as we do, and then develop a brittle theology because of it.
