Vote Inflation

S.M. Oliva helps us remember what happens when those who don't pay taxes get to vote too. When it's put that way, I immediately begin thinking about that whole 'no taxation without representation' thing.

Just in pure numerical terms, more voters means each individual voter has less of a say.
Then there is the constant temptation of the politicians to take, and the temptation of the have-nots to take from the haves.
Also, since our government has been playing with education for so many years, most publicly educated individuals simply don't know enough to make the right choice, regardless of temptation.
Not that we are actually allowed a 'right choice', especially in this election.

But how we got here is somewhat important.
