Well, I suppose any lame-duck, two-term president would show his true colors, but Bush's actions drive a giant stake through the notion that he was ever conservative. We have, at times, considered him conservative but 'compassionate', conservative, but with bad Wilsonian advisors, conservative but stupid. Then Paulson came to D.C. and we found out he was just stupid.
Now he actually appears to be willing to bailout the automakers.
It's times like these we need a proper ritual.
