Folks in China notice the U.S. is in debt to them in a pretty big way, and it's making them nervous. I would hope that some intrepid Chinese official would sit down with the U.S. Constitution and try to figure out by what authority can our federal government actually give them any guarantees.
Our children aren't actually under any legitimate obligation to pay China off. We'll be happy to send you the politicians who pretended otherwise. If sanity ever does prevail in this country, we will default.
I suggest the Chinese ought to start minimizing their exposure now so that they aren't in too much trouble in the future. The crooks running America still think that World War II ended the great depression. I wouldn't put it past them to start another war after all their other dismal ideas show themselves to be failures. What better target than your main creditor?
