Malocclusion

If you wince at the idea of your children having to go through surgery, may I present Stephan Guyenet's massive number of posts on malocclusion. An especially lovely point comes along in part III:

Note the well-formed third molars (wisdom teeth) in both of the prehistoric skulls I've posted. These people had ample room for them in their broad arches.

Very interesting. Michael Pollan mentioned this sort of thing in "In Defense of Food." Not that I finished it all. It was a very dry read... ok. A dry listen. I couldn't even get through on audio book!
