A Pretext For War?

Tyler Durden suggests the attacks on the Pope are a prelude to an attack on Iran.

Well, it's a pretext for something. Long time conspiratorialists- the ones who think governments are filled with pedophiles operating in a maze of blackmail- ought to be seeing this as 'the pedophiles strike back' since this particular Pope was the cardinal who made the Vatican take the scandals seriously and clean up. Of course, these sorts of conspiratorialists would miss such a possibility because they've usually swallowed a lot of anti-Catholic blather down whole along with the possibly true stuff.

The most likely scenario is merely revenge on the U.S. bishops following the health care debate; and then somebody figures out how far the smear campaign can take them. Theft, war, and all sorts of meddling.

War is certainly high on the list of possibility, for precisely the reasons Tyler suggests.
