Wrong Way To Evangelize: The Personal Relationship

The original can be found here. The hockey stick you are seeing at the end starts somewhere in the 60s and skyrockets out of control as well meaning Christians everywhere begin talking about a 'personal relationship with Jesus.'

It is tough to find a graph to contrast this to, but basically, we already know the stats- as the message 'a personal relationship with Jesus' ramped up, people stopped have whatever it was they had with Jesus before.  Here is some interesting stuff about religion among millennials. 

So, this tree does not bear fruit.  It may not be responsible for the drop off in Christianity, but it certainly has not helped in any way whatsoever.
