Math + Biology

I've heard a rumor that the ob-gyns are telling thirty-five years olds that it is time to stop having babies. The doctors want to avoid malpractice suits, not because they are going to do anything wrong; they just know there are more complications during pregnancy when women are over thirty-five. In addition, it is pretty obvious it is harder to get pregnant after thirty-five anyway.

I suppose the average hardworking college student could get through to a Phd by twenty-six.
That's nine years.
Obviously, after all that hard work, she's going to want to get that high paying job and establish her career.

It takes time to find a good spouse. It takes time to get married. It takes time to get the career going. It takes time to get pregnant. The pregnancy takes nine months. The baby takes time to grow. Take some time to think about it. If you want more than one, how much time would you like to pass between the two?

Meanwhile, men do actually think. If we want to have children, we will notice there is a problem here. So, you'll find the men you are dating don't want children, and probably don't want to get married, either.

When would you have time for a husband anyway?
