Is It 32?

So I was watching some of the coverage of the VTU murders today, and I experienced that flash of anger, the same flash of anger I had after hurricane Katrina. You see, more people died today because of gun control. It is more obvious than ever. The media is reporting one shooter; the dead plus the wounded number in the forties at least. Even with the lousy education/propaganda doled out in public school, you should be able to do the math.

We have the right to keep and bear arms for a damn reason. Sometimes you have to vote with your trigger. But, of course, politicians will just use this again; they will try to pass laws to show they are "getting things done."

I know this because after Katrina, the people of New Orleans didn't finally say, wow, you guys were right, we can't rely on government. Instead, leaders in the black community decided to call various people racist. You know what? It doesn't matter if anyone is a racist or not! The government just can't do everything people seem to think it can do! And if anyone was a racist the response time probably would have come quicker, since perceptions of racism can kill a political career in this country.

This is undebatable; if 32 people were armed today, that 32 would not be dead. Nowhere near 32 would be dead. In fact, if just a few of them had guns, the rampage would have ended far sooner than it did. So, America, how large must this number be before you'll realize the equation is valid? Is is 32, or do we have to go higher?
