An Economic Thought on Missionaries

It just occured to me that missionaries should, in general, be old.
It's not really the age, though I am sure that would help in terms of life experiences, it's the retirement.
If you've already had your career, are on a fixed income, etc... then missionary work is right for you. If, however, you have a nice little degree and you are just entering the work force, its better to go make some money and send it to the missionaries.

This would, over time, lead to a wealthier evangelist population, which can provide a more vibrant level of missionary work. It's sustainable missions- yes, in this case sustainable actually means sustainable. (The environmentalists are murdering the word sustainable by the way. It's amazing how many of their promulgations actually increase pollution!)

The case for old missionaries is even more pronounce when we bring biology into the discussion. That age range in which women are fertile could actually be used for having children after all. Which would mean a more numerous evangelist population.

Numerous, prosperous, and increasingly able to do more. Like providing basic community infrastructure. It would be great to start schools where the local schools aren't working for instance. Anyway, it's a thought.
