Still Wondering

Whenever I do comment on a post, I usually end feeling sad. It never seems to work. I mean, I can't even get someone to disagree with me properly.
Nobody even bothers to say, hey dude, here's some evidence that such-and-such actually works. Of course, there isn't any evidence that such-and-such actually works, that's why I am against it. But somehow, people still think it's okay to be for such-and-such, and shame on me for labelling such-and-such as such-and-such.

And there's always some implied immorality on my part. Apparently, in order to care, you must be willing to waste tons of money and destroy entire cultures to prove it. Why can't I let people innovate? Where's the absolute moral principle that states everyone must be taught, medicated, parented, etc... in exactly the same way for ever and ever amen? Things change despite our best efforts!

It's a tough time to be an idealist in this country. Too many of my fellow idealists are firmly stuck in the Baby Boomer Revolution. It's funny, because they are still selling the stuff, but who can we revolt against? That's right- there ain't nobody left dude, we can only revolt against you!
