Fire Your Repairman

So, a bridge falls down. Now, if this were anything else you'd fire your repairman. After all, you've been paying him for a really long time now, and you expect better results. In fact, you should be able to sue for damages.

But, of course, that won't happen.

It's the same with Hurrican Katrina. A group of poor, disadvantaged people were encouraged to rely on the government, and despite warnings, they did. That very same group of people were those who suffered the most. Sadly, many decided the government's failure was due to racism. Well, what do you expect? The government fails with education too.

Find a new repairman, develop a community, and create your own relationships so next time maybe you won't get stuck.
