Identity X

Today is Yom Kippur and I find it interesting that we Christians just sort of dropped the Torah holidays. It seems to me that Jesus was operating within Judaism; in other words, He wasn't specifically creating a new religion.
I suppose gentile christians quickly became the majority, and there were clearly alot of questions as to who the law applied to.

The thing is, if you don't have the questions you won't understand what the answers mean. In many ways the rituals would hold the significance, bring home the meaning, in ways words cannot. Why would you want a Messiah, unless you were taught and understood what a Messiah meant?

It's funny what we see as not ours, just as much as it's weird what we see as ours.
