What Passes For Understanding

I recently felt the need to respond to a series of emails. After seeing several misinformed emails, some of which suggested certain people would stop being part of the group, I felt it was important to clarify the situation. So I did.

So far, I got back this short message stating I shouldn't send this to everybody, etc...

The person that wrote that message simply did not understand what I was saying.
Seriously, I've thought about it for several hours. The guy just did not get it.
It's obvious it had to be sent to the whole group, and its obvious it was pertinent to the purpose of the group. And this made me mad.

In some ways, failure to understand is becoming more annoying than outright disagreement. Especially a dishonest failure to understand, as this message was. He just wanted to stop me from writing anymore. An honest person who didn't understand would ask for clarification.

I've determined a response from me is not necessary. Most likely he was simply tired of the email fight too, and picked my email to respond to. It's a hard thing to do though. I'd like to send something again, if for no other reason than to show I won't listen to him.

But my original goal was to quell the argument, so I can't start another one with this guy.
