Jacob Sullum wrote a heartwrenching account of China's treatment of little girls. It is a little long, but worth reading every word. Sullum has adopted a daughter from China.
It's a really strange situation over there. A strikingly obvious government generated problem, and yet the government seems intent on not fixing it.
But what really makes me wonder is why their government officials don't feel the same way I do when I read this article. I know they can't feel the same way because things would already have been changed.
