The above statement has never been a stop sign. It has always been a start, a sign that further inquiries could be made. Theology actually leads to biology because the study of God can only be enhanced by the study of His creation.
I am writing here specifically about the tendency people have to read an anti-science position on the part of Christians back into history. Atheists like to pretend every scientist in history was a closet atheist, and the fundamentalists can't believe Catholics are Christain. The foundation of error in both camps tend to prop up this anti-science myth, so we tend to have discussions within a false narrative unconsciously agreed to by two enemy parties.
Let's puncture the narrative and stop bending over backwards to seem so reasonable.
These are our ancestors they are talking about.
