Does Tagging Get Us Anywhere?

I went to flickr and did searches based on two classes of words- stuff we can feel, and stuff we can be.
Happy, Sad, Surprised, etc... and Dad, Professional, Teacher, Doctor, etc...

Turns out I didn't get to many pictures that specifically fit the word. Some searches were more effective than others, and some of the tags only make sense after reading the caption, like the search term was actually someone's name. Is there order I am not aware of? (Hold on, for Google Search- okay, nothing obvious.)

So as the number of pictures under a particular tag grows, the randomness of the set grows. The word doesn't actually provide the sort of parameters necessary for sorting, because to the tagger, the word doesn't even have to refer to what is in the picture. It may have been a really funny picture taken on an otherwise sad day, and 'sad' gets used as a tag. Or the picture is part of a story, and there's a doctor in the story, but not in the picture.
