A Humble Commencement

FEE posted text from a commencement speech given by Lawrence W. Reed:

It’s not hard to be humble if you stop comparing yourself to others. It’s not hard to be humble if your focus is building your own character. It’s not hard to be humble if you first come to grips with how little you really know.

Reed also notices this isn't happening in certain places:

If big government ever earns a final epitaph, it will be this: “Here lies a contrivance engineered by know-it-alls who broke eggs with abandon but never, ever created an omelet.”

I'm glad to see someone other than me making the connection.
