Destroying the Food Supply

Proving the legacy of F.D.R. is not dead, there are two bills in Congress that will kill any sort of farming one could call sustainable.

Theory to Practice has the details.

Since the time I watched King Corn I have been wondering why foodies aren't virulently anti-government. It's completely obvious that the government subsidizes bad food, and consequently, corporations take advantage of those incentives. The simple answer is to get the government out of food.

But I haven't heard those words from foodies. I suspect most of them voted for Obama. They haven't read their history, and they don't understand government policies similar to Obama's resulted in the loss of our right (and habit) of knowing where our food came from. The unsustainable government insists on unsustainable, and unsustaining, food.
