Syria, Iran, China, and Russia are supposedly planning joint war games, according to some Iranian outfit. Syrian officials deny it, but it appears to me this report shows, at the very least, that people in the Middle East see this scenario as plausible.
If the reports of military assets being moved around is true, then maybe 'games' isn't what this is about. Maybe this is direct military deployment against an attack that they assume will be made against Syria.
