Variety and Unity

We respond to the Lord as best we know how, that is, we respond imperfectly. We grow, in holiness as we get to know the Lord and struggle for a perfection we know we cannot reach without His aid. In the midst of what is divinely instituted, we must not be surprised to find human frailty.

We respond as well in time, under specific conditions, with particular concerns. We prioritize differently. We are chaotic, but the love of God gives us direction, and therefore order. The uniqueness of our circumstances allows us to bring Christ to a particular time and place, to specific people, so that uniqueness should not be eschewed, but we also know that we one day we will be like Christ, so we can assume we will be more like each other.
