Has there ever been a tradition of marking the day of one's baptism, rather than or in addition to birthdays? I know my birthday, but I don't know my baptismal date.
It seems to me, especially in areas where the only paperwork keepers would have been the Church, the baptism day would have been the one day actually written down for many people.
