The Blessed Economist

The Blessed Economist is a blog, the author is in New Zealand, and he's writing about the structure of governance in pre-monarchy Israel. Much of what he says is very compatible with what I've noticed, both in the Old Testament and in modern social science (like the Dunbar Number).

Anyway, so-far he's got a collection of posts, so far 15, titled 'Tens and Hundreds'.
The latest:

The New Testament provides a method for spreading the gospel, which will also restore Tens and Hundreds to our community. Luke 10 describes how church and gospel spread in five important steps.

Here's the vaguely familiar first step:

•A pair of Christians move to a new neighbourhood.

I think this guy's insights are useful.
